Focus Areas

Agentic AI Security

Building frameworks to secure autonomous AI agent systems before deployment outpaces the ability to govern them. NIST RFI contributor. 800-53 overlay for agentic systems. 7-chapter practitioner guide.

Zero Trust Architecture

Enterprise ZTA from policy through implementation. NIST SP 800-207 applied to real infrastructure. CIO and CISO advisory across DoD. ZTA overlay mapped to agentic AI deployment patterns.

RMF & Continuous ATO

Automating the Authorization to Operate process with agentic AI. 16-family agent framework across the entire RMF lifecycle. Control decomposition into machine-checkable assertions.

Career Arc

One continuous thread: wherever security meets the frontier, that's where I work.

1993 – 2002

Army Signal Corps

Enlisted Signal Support specialist. Commissioned as Signal Officer. Built the foundation for everything that followed.

2006 – 2008

Army Red Team

Full-spectrum cyber and information warfare assessments across DoD commands. NSA Red Team Boot Camp. The principles from this period haven't changed in 20 years.

2008 – 2017

BAH · DoD Cybersecurity Operations

Cybersecurity Operations Lead. Directed security controls, incident response, and defensive operations. Built and managed teams across multiple DoD programs.

2018

Afghanistan

Final deployment. Led Cyber Assistance Team. Three combat deployments total across a 26-year Army career. Separated as Major.

2018 – 2025

BAH · Chief Architect

Principal cybersecurity advisor to CIO/CISO. Led enterprise Zero Trust transformation. Chief Architect for 100-person contract.

2025 – Present

Agentic AI Security

Mapping existing NIST and ZTA frameworks onto the agentic AI problem. Building the tools and writing the guidance that the field needs before deployment outpaces governance.
